Help Jessica Recover from a Broken Leg
Donation protected
Jessica Frank broke her leg on Valentine's Day this year. She was by herself and slipped and fell in her bedroom.
After an ambulance ride, rough night in the ER and observation at Northwest Community Hospital, an orthopedic surgeon came to see her. He said that she needed to be transferred to a Trauma 1 center, as her break was very complex. It's called a Tibial Plateau Fracture, and it's mainly seen in car accident victims.
Jessica has been in the hospital for a week now, but will be released soon. She's never stayed in a hospital for this long, even after having babies or after other accidents or surgeries.

While Jess does have insurance, insurance won't cover everything. A week-long hospital stay, two ambulance rides, and surgery to secure her leg is going to be an astronomical cost, even with her insurance. She will also have to get some supplies to help her at home, as well as physical therapy once her leg is healed.
Jess is a single mother of three kids, and she's worried about providing for them. She's not sure yet when she will be cleared to go back to work, and that weighs heavy on her mind. Driving will be the hurdle to get over for her first, as she broke her right leg and the docs have made it clear that she needs to be off it completely for a few weeks.
We're hoping to raise enough money so that her medical bills from this accident can be covered, as well as bills that will accumulate from her not working as she recovers. The loss of wages is what worries her the most, as she is a full-time, hourly employee at a school she loves. We love her and want to make sure she's doing everything she's supposed to do in order to heal fully.
We'd like to raise this money in the next few weeks, to help with the immediate household expenses that comes with raising 3 teenagers. She often compares dinner time at her house to the T-Rex feeding scene in Jurassic Park.
Please pass this along and consider donating to this very worthy cause.
