Help Jessica Recover From A Serious Car Accident

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

On the evening of November 27, 2023, Jessica was on her way home from work when she was involved in a horrific car collision. She was making the short 1.5 mile drive from work back to her apartment when a separate driver's car traveling in excessive speeds traveled across multiple lanes, and hit Jessica head-on. The man responsible for the accident was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene, while Jessica's vehicle was pushed back 50ft. This accident has resulted in Jessica sustaining major injuries. Her back is broken with multiple fractures at the sacral vertebrae and lumbar region, in which her S3-S5 nerve functioning has been affected. She has undergone intensive back surgery where they placed bolts and rods into both her spine and pelvis in an attempt to restructure, realign, and stabilize her spine. Jessica will have to return for another back surgery within the next 9 - 12 months which will require additional rehab and significant healing time. She also suffered a broken tibia-fibula at the ankle from the significant impact of the car wreck. The joint of her ankle was broken in six different places. She needed four plates to stabilize and support weight-bearing measures. Jessica will require additional surgeries in the near future and has a very long road ahead of her to recover.

Jessica's road to recovery is shaping up to be far beyond anything she and her family have experienced to date. We are being told there will be many hospital visits, doctor appointments, X-rays, MRI's, and more surgeries to come within the year. The surgeons are telling us that Jessica could be receiving physical therapy for years to get her back to functioning. Only time will tell the overall prognosis.

For anyone who knows Jessica, she is truly the definition of selflessness. Jessica is that person who gives so freely of herself and never asks for anything in return. Always dependable, and always willing to give of herself, she now needs a little bit of our help and assistance. Jessica has a very long road ahead of her in the process of healing. She had just recently became engaged, and had begun the process of creating her new life with her future husband. This accident has truly put a huge pause on her life in which our only focus is to assist her in recovering.

We are eternally grateful for the outpouring of prayers, love, and support for her and her fiance. We anticipate a lengthy hospital stay, rehab, and recovery process. Any contribution you can provide will greatly assist in Jessica's medical costs and help ease the financial stress of her and her fiance.
