Help Jessica through Recovery

Hello everyone, and thank you for your time in reading this. As some may know, I’ve been struggling with back issues for almost three years now. After a failed back surgery in April of 2019, I spent years trying to solve the issue with every treatment imaginable. This year, I finally found the right doctor who diagnosed the issue almost immediately. We tried another discectomy in March, but unfortunately the two discs herniated again almost immediately into physical therapy. In July, I underwent spinal fusion which has proven to be a more extensive procedure and my recovery has been slow. I’ve just begun physical therapy again, and progress is being made which is promising, but the nerve damage and it’s effects are still limiting my activity a fair amount.
Due to these medical issues, I was forced to resign from my teaching position at the beginning of this year. It’s been a tremendous financial struggle, but I never expected that my journey back to full health would take this long. I kept thinking that I’d be able to return to a normal working schedule, but I’m having to accept that my progress is just taking a little longer and give my body that time to ensure this surgery’s success. But, I need some help. (Me admitting this is a huge win, by the way; this has taken some time.)
I’m asking for support in replacing a little of the salary that I’ve lost in order to continue paying for housing, expenses, daily life stuff. I also hope to allocate some funds towards building my creative career within art & education for future revenue generation. I truly hope to continue creating and teaching within my community.
I know that there are many struggling in our community, and I almost feel guilty asking for help with that knowledge. But I also know that one can’t receive the assistance and support that they may need if it’s not requested. If you feel moved to make a donation, I will be incredibly grateful for anything that you can share, any amount would make a huge impact. If there are others that need your support right now, please know how thankful I am that you took this time to hear my story.
Many thanks to all of you,
Jessica ✨
