Help Jessie & Garrett rebuild after Hurricane Ian
Donation protected
Garrett and Jessie Granitz live in Fort Myers, FL, where Hurricane Ian rendered their home uninhabitable. Both their cars no longer function and they've lost most of their possessions due to the storm surge that flooded their home.
Friends and family have asked how they can help; while we can't easily get supplies to them at the moment, we think a financial donation is the best way to help them now. In the immediate term, it will help them get needed supplies like clothing, food, and water as stores start opening up, and provide them with additional resources they can use to support others in their community. Insurance should cover most of the rebuilding costs, but your donation would also help ease the process of recovering what they've lost in the weeks and months ahead.
They've shown extraordinary courage and generosity in this time, first keeping family safe during the worst of the flooding, then providing first aid to an elderly neighbor and helping him get the medical treatment he needed. Now they are continuing to help friends and neighbors recover while much of the city remains without water or power.
Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. They're safe with family now, but have been navigating limited service, loss of power and utilities and have a long road ahead to rebuild what they've lost.
I'm Charlie Page, Garrett's brother-in-law. They would be the last people to ask for support like this, so I'm setting up this GoFundMe on their behalf. Any help would be much appreciated and all donations will go directly to them to aid in the recovery process.
