Help Jesus Cortes "Chucho" recover

Jesus aka “Chucho” is a loved friend, brother and worker who is also part of our Gordo’s Cantina Family for 8 years. Last Saturday, he was the target of a violent and unprovoked attack. He suffered from multiple injuries, including a fractured skull which left him in a coma; today he was taken off the ventilator to see how his body responds. We get glimmers of hope that he will be getting better every day.

His attacker, on lifetime parole, was arrested and then let go without bail. Days later, facing backlash, Governor Hochul ordered his apprehension. We hope justice is served, and he stays behind bars and is unable to hurt anyone else.

We know there is a long way for Chucho to return to their health, and we want to raise funds to cover his living expenses so he can entirely focus on getting better.

We are Chucho's employers, and we will coordinate the distribution of the funds with the help of Juan, his brother. As soon as Jesus regains consciousness and he has access to his bank accounts, we will transfer the funds to him to cover his living expenses. (Rent, bills and other) if needed before, we will coordinate this with Juan.
