Help Jeya Prakash fight Chronic Kidney Failure

Dear Friends and Kind-Hearted people,

I am reaching out on behalf of my uncle, Jeya Prakash, a 38-year-old Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu resident. Prakash uncle has always been a pillar of strength for his family, working tirelessly as a Senior Electrician at Ramco Sudarshan Mills for 15 years. Unfortunately, life took a harsh turn for him in October 2022 when he was diagnosed with severe health conditions, including Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM), Systemic Hypertension (SHTN), Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD), and Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).

Due to the progression of his illnesses, Prakash uncle now requires dialysis twice a week to sustain his life. Additionally, he is also undergoing treatment for anemia and receives erythropoietin injections regularly. The severity of his condition led to an operation for an AV fistula to facilitate regular dialysis. Currently, he is under the treatment of Dr. Ramamoorthy, Nephrology, Critical Care & Pain specialist at Meenakshi Memorial Hospital.

In February 2023, Prakash uncle had to make the heart-wrenching decision to leave his job as he could no longer manage the physical demands due to his health. This was a huge blow to his family, not just emotionally but financially as well. Prakash uncle and his wife, Jency, have two young children, Joyal (10 years old) and Johan (7 years old). The constant need for dialysis and medical care means that Prakash uncle is unable to work and needs assistance for ADLS, and Jency has to stay home to care for him, making it impossible for her to work as well.

Prakash uncle and his family are now facing tremendous financial hardship. Prakash uncle had to hypothecate their home and 5 cents of land to the bank to cover his mounting medical expenses. With no job and increasing medical bills, the family is on the brink of losing their only remaining asset.

As you can imagine, the medical bills have been piling up, and they are struggling immensely without any income. Despite their best efforts, they are unable to keep up with the mounting expenses and are in desperate need of financial assistance.
