Help Jezzy the lamb this Easter

Help Jezzy the lamb this Easter.

So many of you asked how you could help Jezzy the little lamb who arrived as an emergency at FRIEND this week.
We have made this fundraiser just for him.
Wouldn't it be lovely this Easter if everyone came together to help Jezzy .
Easter is a time where millions of lambs are slaughtered for a meal.
Wouldn't it be something to help us save one instead?

Emergency arrival:
Jezzy (Jeremy) the lamb came to FRIEND as an emergency case.
We assessed that he was suffering from severe hypothermia. He was barely moving when he arrived.
We feared the worst.
He was very cold, listless, underweight and dangerously close to death.
We gently warmed him and syringed milk slowly all night.
We didn't know if he'd make it that first night but we prayed he would.
His temperature began to stabilise at last he was holding his own.
Next he went to meet with our amazing Vet Zoe at Putlands Vetinary Clinic for a full examination.

Medical assessment
We found that he had an infected umbilical cord stump ,the infection had worryingly travelled up into his lungs, he would need daily antibiotic injections and ongoing treatment.
He was so weak he could barely stand, he was undernourished and has to put on weight fast to stand a chance of survival.
Zoe gave Jezzy different treatments to kick start his system and help his digestion to work again.
He needed to gain strength to fight the infection.
To be honest it's all up to him now.
We are giving him everything we have:
But he has to fight.

We are fundraising for his ongoing care and Vet bills
He needs substitute milk which is £29/ 5kg (13 weeks) bottles etc and eventually his own area to live in.

Please give whatever you can.
Jezzy found Sanctuary at the time he needed it most. Your donation helps us to always be there for him and there the next time someone else needs our help.

So many will die in the cold this Easter as newborns or be slaughtered at 3-6 months of age for a meal.
We wish we could save them all-sometimes all you can do is save the one that comes to you and show the World just how incredible he is - in the hope that they might help us fight for all the others too.
Thank you
