Help Jill and Larry after the Eaton Fire

I'm Toby McDonald Chou, and as many of you already know, my sister Jill McDonald and my brother-in-law Larry Steele lost their home and all their possessions in the Eaton Fire.

Larry is a contractor, and building their home was a labor of love. They sanded every board and put in every nail and screw. The home and beautiful yard have been a gathering place and a refuge for friends from all walks of life. We assume they have also lost all their koi fish and turtles from their beautiful pond. It hasn't been safe to return, so the only images they have of the destruction were captured from a video of someone driving down their street, which is how we know the buildings are gone and the vehicles destroyed.

Jill and Larry are the type of people who devote their lives to lifting up others, and now we hope that all that love and care they have put out in the universe can come back to help them in their time of need. Larry's work truck was destroyed as well as all his tools. Jill's vehicle was destroyed as well. More heartbreaking are the one-of-a-kind mementos and collections that cannot be replaced.

Larry's greatest need is a truck, tools, and work boots so he can get back to work as a contractor to earn his living. Knowing Larry and Jill, they will be helping their neighbors and friends as well. Jill will also need a vehicle, and the funds will cover their living expenses until they can find permanent housing. Helping Jill and Larry now will have a domino effect in helping folks in Altadena return to their lives. Please give what you can.
