Help Jill Filut Fight Cancer “Round Two”
Donation protected
My dear friend, Jill Filut, is a 37 year old mother to Jace (5 years old), a waitress at a local restaurant, and a 2009 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer survivor (after 7 months of Chemotherapy). In January 2020, she experienced severe pain in her back and hip and went to countless Chiropractic appointments and doctor appointments. On August 10, 2020, she had an MRI and two days later found out that a malignant tumor (the size of a grapefruit) is on her hip. This came as a complete shock! How could this happen again? She has been punctual on her follow-up appointments and blood work. Her results have been coming back in the normal range. On August 19, 2020, she had a PET scan which determined the tumor on her hip is putting pressure on her femur as well as other tumors in her chest and spleen. The Oncologist advised her to take a leave of absence from her job due to the pain and potential of the mass breaking her femur. On August 21, 2020, Jill had a biopsy to determine what cancer is permeating her hip, chest, and spleen. Sadly, she was informed she now has aggressive Stage 4 Infused Large B Cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in her hip AND Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in her spleen and chest. On September 1, 2020, Jill met with a Lymphoma specialist at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. They determined she would have to undergo two aggressive rounds of Chemotherapy followed by a Stem Cell Transplant and another round of Chemotherapy. The most frightening part of this is her immune system will be so low that she cannot take the chance to work, especially with the Coronavirus pandemic. Jill is the last person to ask for help, which is why I am sure many of you reading this had no idea about her first run with cancer. She is being incredibly vulnerable “letting it all out there” for the world to see, but this time she has more to fight for being a mother to Jace. Jace is her world! Her focus needs to be on her health in fighting this battle and on her son. We are trying to alleviate any stressors that we can possibly control. Due to the loss of Jill’s income, we are raising funds to cover her living expenses. We are reaching out to ask you to generously donate to help Jill and Jace during this difficult time. Thank you in advance for all your support, positive thoughts, and prayers!
