Help Jill Szerkins Kick Cancer
Donation protected
Jill Szerkins (age 32) is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Her fiancé Skylar Smith describes Jill as caring, compassionate, and always fun to be around. Jill and Skylar, are raising her children Hunter (age 15), Taylor (age 13), and Rowan (age 5) as well as his children Austin (age 16), Hayden (age 14), and Bentley (age 9). There is never a dull moment at their house!! Nonetheless, the kids all adore Jill just as much as she adores them. Unfortunately, their family has been faced with something that has completely rocked their world.
Cancer is an awful disease that has affected us all in one way or another. Sometimes it hits closer to home and makes life a little more difficult. Jill has been battling cervical cancer for over a year. Chemotherapy and radiation was hard on her but she did it all with a smile on her face. Her most recent scans revealed the cancer has also spread to her lungs and lymph nodes. While the news has been devastating, her will to keep fighting continues. Jill leaves for MD Anderson October 24, 2020 for a second opinion. We are praying that our ultimate healer and the physicians at MD Anderson can provide Jill with the best treatment possible.
Jill is a dental assistant at University Dental Clinic but in recent weeks she has been unable to work much leaving Skylar to care for her and the kids, while working full time at Oxford Alarm and Communications. Each day is filled with worry, fear and a lot of tears. We have set up this account to help alleviate the financial burden (travel expenses, time off of work, etc.) that come along with this diagnosis. If you find it in your heart to help this family of 8, they would be forever grateful. If you are unable to give financially, we covet your prayers during this difficult time. Thank you!
If you would rather give directly money and meals can be dropped off at Oxford Alarm and Communications during business hours.
