Help Jim Butcher Out

Donation protected
For all of you that know Jim you are aware that he has been fighting cancer on and off for 11 years. Around the end of October we noticed some lumps in his neck and had a biopsy done. The results weren't good. The endocrinologist sent him to have a pet scan November 26th and the cancer is attached from his lower jaw, covering his throat, and extends down to his left collarbone. It has also spread to his right lung. The surgeon at USA said he is not comfortable doing the surgery because of the risks involved. He is sending him to UAB for the surgery and hopefully all goes well. If it does he will then have the radioactive iodine treatment and then they will address the cancer in the lung. This is Jim's fifth time dealing with cancer and this will be his ninth surgery in 11 years.

Jim is struggling financially and has had to step away from the two jobs that he loves, working with meat and managing a music studio. He needs help with his medical expenses, utilities, everyday living expenses, and he will need help with the commuting and lodging expenses for going back and forth to UAB.

For those of you that don't know Jim I will tell you a little about this amazing man. He is a former Navy Seabee who was based out of Little Creek, Virginia. He has volunteered with the Prodisee Pantry for the last 7 years and currently sits on the Board of Directors for Prodisee Pantry. He is a former officer in the Bama:FOF which was a civics men's group in Fairhope Alabama. He has done fundraising for the Fairhope Fire Department,  the Ecumenical Ministries of Baldwin County, the Prodisee Pantry, and has worked on the Repair Baldwin Project. He loves music, butchering and cooking meat, his Jeep, shooting guns, and glassblowing.

Jim currently works managing Modern Ensemble Music in Daphne. He has had to step away from this position temporarily while battling his cancer. He has already had one knee surgery and is in constant pain just from that alone and was scheduled to have the other replaced on December 2nd but we had to cancel it because of the urgency of this situation. He has had the bottom disc in his spine replaced, the L5 disc. Jim has also had his right bicep and tendon surgically reattached and is currently having pain from that pinching a nerve. He has an appointment to see his Orthopedic Surgeon towards the end of December regarding his right arm. Please help him out in any way that you can. Thank You and Bless you.
