Help Jim Good Keep Goodsir Nature Park Alive

***JIM GOOD NEEDS OUR HELP***
Jim Good, the founder and sole caretaker of Goodsir Nature Park, is facing a series of hardships no one should have to endure alone.
Recently, Jim was rushed to Vancouver for emergency eye surgery—a traumatic and unplanned event. Thankfully, doctors were able to save his vision, but he is now recovering back home, physically fragile and emotionally drained.
As if that weren’t enough, Jim received a record-low amount of donations of the winter months, and now he finds himself in a position where it’s near impossible to maintain Goodsir Nature Park. Most weeks, with Jim living on a small pension, can’t even afford groceries.
Let that sink in for a second: a man who has given so much, who has built a world-class nature park from nothing but passion, is now struggling to afford basic necessities.
Here’s How We Can Help:
This GoFundMe is being created not out of pity—but out of deep respect and a collective belief that someone like Jim shouldn’t be left in the cold.
Funds raised will go toward:
• Alleviating financial stress for Jim for the next calendar year
• Helping with the costs associated with his emergency eye surgery and recovery
• Supporting ongoing maintenance of the park while Jim heals
• Giving Jim a small buffer so he can focus on what he does best—welcoming visitors and sharing the wonder of nature, music and screen-free experiences.
If you’re in a position to give—even just a few dollars—please consider donating. If you’re a business owner or community leader, perhaps there’s a sponsorship opportunity you’d be open to discussing.
Every single waking hour Jim spends on this planet goes back into the park he built for all of us.
Jim Good has spent decades giving to this community—creating a space that heals, inspires, and educates.
Let’s show Jim that all the love he’s poured into the world hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Let's prove to Jim that the community has his back.
Let’s help Jim through this difficult chapter, together.
Let’s keep the magic of Goodsir Nature Park alive.
Even sharing the GoFundMe post is a major help.
A special thank you to everyone for supporting Jim. And please, when you can, go visit Goodsir Nature Park. Walk the trails. Read the signs. Feel the passion that Jim exemplified when he built this magical place. And remember: one determined man did all of that—just so we could enjoy it.
