Help Jim Lakey after the Loss of his Wife , Dory

Jim Lakey is a beloved school custodian at Cascade K-8 Community School. He recently won the PTSA award for Outstanding Advocate for his commitment to maintenance of the school for the past 6 years, and especially during the pandemic. On Friday, June 4th, Jim Lakey lost his dear wife, Dory after a hard battle with cancer. Jim has been home by her side since December. During this time, the bills have continued to accumulate without her income. Jim and Dory have been married for 27 years, and losing his partner has obviously been crushing to Jim. He has returned to work but friends of Jim would love to be able to take the financial stress off of him, allowing him to focus on grieving. The amount we’re hoping to raise will cover death and burial costs and help reduce medical and other bills that have grown in the past 7 months.
