Help family costs for tragic accident for Jim Miller

Hey, my name is Tricia and I started this to help support my Uncle Jimmy (James Miller) during an extremely difficult time.

On Saturday night, our family received the call that he was in a terrible motorcycle accident. It was dark and he hit a patch of gravel and lost control of his bike. He hit a guard rail and was thrown off his bike, pretty far, and down the side of an overpass.

Luckily, his coworker was following close behind but they still had a hard time finding him, until they heard him call out for help.

They could barely get to him because he was mangled in the trees and brush.

By the grace of God, a nurse pulled over and assisted them while they waited for EMS to get there. She applied a tourniquet on his leg to slow bleeding and we were told that if she had not stopped he would have never made it. EMS had to cut down trees and had him life flighted to Toledo.

In the ER, they expressed to us that his chances of survival were very low, less than 50%.

He sustained multiple broken bones, they had to amputate his left leg, he still hasn't been stable enough to get a proper scan but they are pretty sure they can rule out internal bleeding. We are currently waiting on news of his next surgery to repair his pelvic bones which are shattered.

His kidneys have started to fail and he is now on dialysis.

We do know that he has feeling in his fingers and toes, he goes through waves of consciousness and he is very agitated and in an extreme amount of pain.

We still don't know if he will survive, but if he does he will have an extremely long road ahead of him.

We're asking for help to pay any bills and/or medical bills during his stay.

Anything helps, even if it's just prayers.
