Help Jim Robinson With His Battle With Cancer

I’m Jim Robinson’s nephew, also named after his late grandfather (my great grandfather), who proudly served his country. I am fundraising for my uncle, who’s done so much for me over the years.

In late July, my uncle began getting short of breath. Thinking it was due to a past medical condition, he initially ignored it. However, it worsened. Eventually, he could not walk more than 40 steps without becoming winded and breathing heavily. He went to the hospital, where they conducted a barrage of tests. They were hoping for the best.

However, after doing a bone marrow biopsy in early August, he got the news that no father wants to hear. He was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) - a cancer of the cells that form into blood cells.

He has worn many hats over the decades. Brother, friend, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, business owner, landscaper, outdoor living space design specialist, roofer, builder, handyman, nail technician & beautician. He is the father of 3; A son and two daughters, and grandfather of 3; Selena, Arykah, and the newest addition to the family, Harley.

He now struggles daily climbing three flights of stairs to get to his nail salon and fights to catch his breath. When he starts treatments, he may no longer be able to serve his clients.

His first chemo treatment on the 22nd did not go well, but he hopes that future therapies will go well.

Recent car and house zoning expenses have severely strained the family’s finances. Along with car repairs that need to be done, upcoming travel, fuel, and lodging expenses during his stay at the hospital, and missing work, he and his family need hope and help. I want to help put them at ease and make sure they don’t have the burden of worrying about their financial situation through this tumultuous & emotional time.
