Help Jim Yager Overcome Stage IV Cancer
Donation protected
Friends, family, and lovely strangers, thank you for coming to this page. If you know someone battling cancer or have lost someone to cancer then you know the feeling we have right now.
My mother, brother, sister and I are each asking for support to help Jim Yager; an amazing man, loving father, dedicated husband, lover of the outdoors and a military veteran, through a very tough time.
At age 70, after two heart attacks earlier in life, he was then diagnosed with Prostate cancer. We thought he had beaten the disease, but unfortunately now at age 76, it has come back and spread through other areas of his body and into his back.
Jim Yager wants to beat this completely and have more time on this planet to live and be with his family and friends.
As you can imagine, making the right decisions for treatment can be overwhelming, confusing and exhausting… not to mention expensive.
The doctors we had here in the U.S. were saying and suggesting so many different things that we could not get a straight scientific solution. Many of these “solutions” were not covered under insurance either and frankly were like treating Jim as a “lab rat.”
Luckily, we found an amazing team in Switzerland who had a track record and data driven approach to saving Jim’s life. Jim, as a scientist himself, really felt positive about their approach, their genuine care and extensive alternative treatments. So we took action and made the arrangements.
The complications of today's pandemic also put strain and stress on both of them through this journey out to Switzerland, and in fact they then contracted COVID, which resulted in pushing back testing and treatments another two weeks until they were healthy. This as you can imagine increased the cost of living over there on top of the medical bills.
So, he is there right now with his wife, Shauna, fighting this everyday despite pain and low energy levels.

In total, we are looking at $30-$40K+ in costs at least. We are doing our best as a family to cover these costs and we would like to ask for your help with a donation to help off-set some of these costs.
Your donation would be greatly appreciated and mean so much to Jim and our family!
If you can’t make a donation at this point, help us spread the word by sharing this link to those who can help on social media, email lists, and anywhere you can.
Thanks in advance for helping save our beloved father and for your generosity!
We will keep everyone updated.
Love and appreciation,
Brandon, Serena, Shauna and AJ Yager
