Help Jiyu Pizza Start Pizza Pop Up Business

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Matt and I started Jiyu Pizza in March of 2021 to try and keep myself busy while being unemployed during the pandemic and as a way to do something I was passionate about and try and give back. I was lucky enough to get on unemployment and one of my main focuses during that time was to start to make pizza to try and help those in need. Since then I have given back to donation charities for Slice Out Hunger and both Stop Asian Hate and Black Lives Matter movements as well as working with the local church and police organizations to reach homeless people who are in need. My goal was to just keep it small but I've deeply fallen in love with making pizza and I currently work at Naples in Downtown Disney and am working full time and selling pizza out of my apartment as a side hustle on my days off. I want to start a pop-up to continue this journey as a business and to be able to cater events at things like Farmers Marekts, Festivals, Carnivals, and anything that will have me! I plan on doing it part time to start out and after getting enough experience and comfortability, I would switch to full time! On
top of this, I will be giving anyone who donates a free pizza for our first event as a legal pop-up restaurant when I get going and I'm going to be giving away my Breville Smart Pizzaiolo Oven which is in great condition and retails for $1,000! Everyone who donates $5+ has a chance to get this Breville Pizzaiolo Oven! This oven is a great chance for anyone wanting to get into making pizza and for experts!

Things I need:

Licenses -

Business License
Employer Identification Number (EIN)
Food Service License
Resale Permit
Seller’s Permit

Total - $1800

(I may be missing one or two)

Equipment -

Gozney Roccbox w/ Wood Burner v2.0 attachment ($600)
x2 Regency 30" x 60" 18-Gauge Stainless Steel Open Base Folding Work Table ($500)
Heavy Duty Insulated Bags to store my dough outside and keep them cool ($100)
Caravan Canopy 12x12 ($150)
8 Dough Trays ($150)
Misc. Equipment ($200)

Total - $ 1700

Grand Total - $3500

Once we are able to reach our goal, I will be trying to do one pop up shop a week while working my full time job. After that, I would like to slowly gain enough interest and confidence to switch to doing this full time. I created my own style of pizza that uses top quality ingredients that is better for you then traditional pizza, I mill part of my own flour fresh to give my dough substance, and I use sourdough instead of yeast which is better for digestion. I know I'm asking for a lot and my costs are more than what I listed but I'm going to be saving up for this regardless of if this GoFundMe takes off or not. I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read my story and anyone who can help out. Thank you so much for reading this and if you have any questions feel free to contact me on Instagram @JiyuPizza!
