Help Steve and Joan- Flood Relief

On December 21, 2023, Port Hueneme was hit with a winter storm that caused flash flooding that poured into the homes of a senior community called Hueneme Bay.

This is where our grandparents, Steve and Joan, have happily lived for years, including with them decades of memories and personal possessions. Steve and Joan could only stand and watch as water poured into their home and destroyed everything inside, leaving them with nothing. Water was standing well above their ankles throughout their entire home, and well over a foot in other areas. Both of their cars were also damaged due to the flooding, making it even harder to meet their day to day needs.

Both of our grandparents are in their 80's with little resources to fall back on. Grandpa Steve is a veteran who is currently battling cancer on top of a number of other health issues and the impact this is having on them goes beyond words.

We are raising funds in order to give support by replacing essential items and securing new housing for our grandparents as they prepare to rebuild their lives from the ground up. Currently, Steve and Joan's lease has been terminated, they are uncertain the condition of their vehicles' and have no choice but to watch every item they own be hauled away due to water damage/mold.
