Help Jocelyn Crush Cushing’s

Hi, my name is Marisa and I’m a survivor of a very rare and complicated disease called Cushing’s disease. I am raising funds on behalf of a fellow “Cushie” named Jocelyn. I have never met Jocelyn as we live on opposite ends of the earth but we connected online in a support group for Cushing’s Disease. As someone who has been in her position, I know that she can use all the help that she can get.

Jocelyn is a 22 year old woman, living in Cavite, Philippines. I have seen her through being misdiagnosed, the onset of high blood pressure and diabetes, extreme weight gain and physical changes, the loss of mobility and unfortunately, her health continues to decline.

The medical and health care system is lacking in resources for a disease that is already so difficult to treat. The tumour on her pituitary gland (the root of her disease) is inoperable. Her surgical team has recommended Gamma Knife Radiation as her primary treatment to shrink the tumour.

The cost is very expensive and until she has all the funds to pay for Radiation, she will continue living with Cushing’s Disease.
