Help Jodie kick cancer's butt
Donation protected
In May 2020, Jodie was rushed to Darwin hospital by air. Once there, she was diagnosed with bowl cancer, as well as secondary cancers in the uterus and liver.
This came after being dismissed time and time again by doctors for the past 3 years.
Jodie had emergency surgery to remove a large section of her bowel, and underwent a hysterectomy.
Jodie is currently trying to regain enough strength to commence chemotherapy.
Jodie is currently still in Darwin, while her husband Dusty and children Jaz, Willow and Hunter are over 400km away on a cattle station. Her husband has been traveling back and forth between the station and hospital.
We are trying to raise funds to assist with the financial burden of the extensive costs associated with seeking medical treatment while living remotely. All monies will be put toward Jodie’s treatment, as well as travel and accommodation for the family and additional help to care for the kids.
Jodie is a loving wife, mother and actively involved in her local community. She is a long time horsewoman and proud volunteer at the Riding for the Disabled.
