Joe has entered Heaven’s Gates, and we have gained our guardian angel. Thank you to all of those who have reached out with your kind messages and prayers, those who visited, and a huge thank you to those who have donated. I am still at a loss for words, as Joe is someone who will truly be missed. Memorial service info tbd, but will post updates as soon as that part is resolved. Thank you, babe, for shining your bright light upon us throughout your earthly journey. We all love you so so much.
******* 4/14/23: UPDATE *******
As of now, Joe is in the ICU in extremely critical condition. Unfortunately, we have received the news from multiple doctors that 5 of his major organs are failing, and that we don’t have much time left before God welcomes him through Heaven’s Gates; there is no timeframe, and he can be joining him any minute. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, for all of the prayers, love, and support. It has all been overwhelming, but we are beyond grateful for the outpouring of love that we have received. It has been a lot to say the least, but please keep our family in your prayers, and if you would like to see Joe one last time, please let me know.

Hello everyone,
My name is Liane, and I am the wife of Joe Renteria. On the morning of Wednesday, March 29th Joe was brought to the emergency room of Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara. Prior to his hospital admittance, Joe’s health had been quickly declining without any signs of improvement. It was clear that he needed medical assistance right away. The day of Joe’s hospital admission would change our lives forever. The attending physicians had informed us that his liver is severely damaged, has acquired Hepatitis A in the liver, and has been given the ultimate prognosis of End Stage Liver Disease (ESLD). Due to unfortunate circumstances, Joe is ineligible for a liver transplant at this time. This news has been beyond challenging for our family to comprehend, as we do not know what is exactly to come during this recovery journey. Thankfully, he has been discharged from the hospital as of yesterday, April 8th. As of now, I will be the sole income of our family of four, as well as the main caregiver for Joe; many doctor visits, laboratory draws, and a continuous medication regimen are currently in line for our very near future. We are seeking financial help for upcoming medical bills that are in store for us, along with the current monthly bills that we will face. We understand that not everyone will be able to help financially, but we will always accept your prayers and well wishes, too.
Thank you to everyone who has helped with your contributions, whether that is financially, by prayer, or by words of wisdom. We truly cherish every one of you.
