Help Joe cover his medical expenses

In the early morning on Monday, August 15th, my brother Joe was hit on his motorcycle by a garbage truck.He was taken by ambulance to the Carbondale Hospital, and later airlifted to St. Louis University Hospital for injuries sustained in the accident. He suffered arterial damage in two major arteries, and broke five bones in his leg and foot. Thankfully, the doctors were able to save his leg in surgery and had a titanium rod inserted.

Joe is back at home now and recovering well. For the next couple of months, he is unable to drive, work, or get around without help. I am creating this fund to help cover some of the expenses he is incurring in his recovery. Expenses include dressings, medications, bandages, coordinating transportation for post-op appointments, along with everyday necessities.

For everyone out there who has provided some good company, brought my brother a coffee, or helped out with his daughter, I want to say thank you. He is lucky to have so many family and friends as a support system.
