Help Joe Heal and Care for His Mom

This past week, Joe took himself to the ER and was rushed in for emergency surgery to remove part of his colon due to a major blockage and he’ll have to wear a colostomy bag for a few months until he heals. The doctors told him that if he had waited much longer, he may not be alive today. We thank God that he is!! Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and hospital workers who were by Joe’s side. They are true angels!!

Joe will have a long road to full recovery and as you all know, Joe’s is his 92 year old mom’s full time caregiver, and gets the assistance of some aids for a few hours a week to help him.

This current ordeal has really disrupted him and his mom’s life. Joe is fortunate to have such a wide friend base who love him and his mom, like family, that so many of them have taken turns spending time with Joe’s mom to help her while Joe has been in the hospital.

Joe and his mom’s financial situation is not too good and so some of Joe’s friends have put this GoFundMe page together to help raise funds for them to help with Joe’s medical bills and Rose’s (Joe’s mom) geriatric care while Joe will be recovering over the many many coming months.

Our goal is to try and raise enough money, to first and foremost, have 24 hour home care for Rose while Joe is incapacitated and secondly, to help pay Joe’s medical bills, as we know they’ll be astronomical. Every little bit you can give would be helpful.
