Hi everyone!
Earlier this year, my catalytic convertor got stolen, forcing me to buy an e-scooter as my primary form of transportation. It was great! Until last week.
I unfortunately got in a pretty gnarly accident while riding in Hollywood after trying to swerve to avoid a vehicle that didn’t see me and hitting a pothole. Thankfully I was wearing a helmet, but I lost a few teeth, cracked a few more, and most of my face is either stitched, sprained or bruised. I’m also currently unable to move the left side of my mouth and can only eat meals after they’ve been blended in my Nutribullet (spoiler alert — it does not taste great!).
My dental bills came out to about 16k, and my emergency room bills came out to about 4k (both with insurance — very cool healthcare system). I’m not normally one to ask my friends for stuff, but that’s a lot of money on short notice and I’m hoping I can make a decent chunk in it with your help!
My goal is to raise $10k to cover half the amount, and try to come up with the other half on my own. Anything over $10k will go directly to my bills, and any excess beyond that will be donated to my favorite charity, LifeKitLA.
