Help Joe live his dreams...

Hello, I'm Ainslie and the handsome gentleman in the picture is my partner Joe.

Joe and I met at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in Brisbane during 2022 where we were both undergoing treatment for various types of Leukaemia. While I successfully entered remission, Joe was told in late October that they had run out of options to treat the specific strain of the disease (Philadelphia Chromosome Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia) he has. Joe is Terminal and we have been told he has months to live.

Joe is a special soul, over the three years that he's been fighting cancer he has played violin in the hospital for patients and staff as part of The Stairwell Project and has worked with the Queensland Youth Cancer Service, attending conferences and giving key note speeches to healthcare workers in a bid to improve Advance Health Care Planning and end of life care for young patients.

Joe's biggest wish for the time he has left is to travel, however this is a big ask with both of us on Centrelink and unable to work regular jobs. Any amount helps us fulfill his dream so that he has no regrets.

The money raised will go towards covering flights and accommodation and specialised travel insurance for Joe to visit Hong Kong, New Zealand and Perth.
