Help! Joe Vance - Best Piano Teacher Ever!

Let me tell you about Joe - the best music teacher ever.

Joe has been giving music lessons to the kids in our neighborhood, and all over the Philadelphia area, for more than 30 years. If the kids want to learn piano, or guitar, or drums - virtually any instrument - Joe was the perfect guy for the job! Not only could he teach any instrument, he also taught the kids how to sing and perform in public. Joe has a simple motto - make it enjoyable for the kids. One of his former students, now a mother with kids taking lessons from Joe, referred to him as "the kid whisperer". He simply has a way of engaging with kids that puts them so much at ease. He lets the kids pick the songs they want to learn - and goes at a pace that is right for each child - and the kids adore him for this approach.

The reason for this fundraiser is that Joe has fallen on hard times; it began when his ancient car finally broke down for good, then he had to rent a car to get to the lessons, and now his pool of students has dried up for the summer (everybody at the shore) pushing him and his finances to the breaking point.  He needs our help now!

"With most of my clientele disappearing for the summer, I find that my making one or two appointments on a given day is break even or lose money ...."
