Help Joel Elder Fight Cancer

If you are here, Joel "Moses" Elder has made an impact in your life in one way or another.

Either through Camp Oak Hill, CLUB Ministries, Connection Ministries, Hurricanes hockey, Comic Book friends or other various youth group/children's ministries he has been involved with Joel has a special way of connecting with people.

Joel has been fighting Colon Cancer since early 2021. He was diagnosed with Covid 19 in Jan of 2021. This left him incredibly weak, and he didn't rebound quite as well. He thought it might still be after effects of Covid. After further doctors visits he was diagnosed with Colon cancer and immediately started chemo weeks later. It is a miracle that he survived fighting cancer and Covid at the same time, but Joel is a stubborn one. :)

He has been a brave warrior and continues to fight hard. He has kept an amazing outlook during this whole process and knows the rest is in God's hands. In the first 6 months of chemo treatments his body has responded incredibly well and his tumor markers have gone from 15,832 to under 20. That is right under 20, God is good!

The doctors have said it will still be a long battle, but the recent updates are encouraging.

With that news you can imagine medical bills are piling up after only 10 months of this fight. Battling cancer has also kept Joel from working any regular jobs so he needs our help. Let's encourage him during this season and help him continue his fight with cancer.
