Help Joel get healthy

Friends/Family,

I have a huge favor to ask. I understand that not everyone is willing or able to help, but I want to thank everyone for taking the time to read this request. At least you will understand my situation a little better.

I come to you, slightly embarrassed, but with my head held high to ask for any monetary donations you can afford or are willing to give. I do not ask lightly, and wish I could request a loan rather than donation, but I cannot.

As many know, I helped my grandparents and my mom with their health conditions. I moved into the Calabasas house where I was able to assist for a long time. Eventually, it became clear I needed a job. So I looked and found a remote position and have worked there in different capacities for the last year or two. Unfortunately, my mom needed more care than I could provide and had to move into a care facility. This meant that I also had to move out so that the house could be sold. I moved into my new place on November 1, 2021. On December 30, my birthday, I was informed I was being let go because the company lost the client I was working on and had to let the entire team go.

As I search for my next steps, since remote jobs are scarce and I don’t have the ability to go to an office at this time, I figured that now would be as good a time as any to work on my health. I won’t go into details about my health, as this is a public forum, but I need to do something. I am trying to work with a physician to get on disability and have a plan to work on my problem. Unfortunately, this takes money I do not have. Thus my need to request aid from friends and family. All donations will be used for the improvement of my health and to keep me in the house. Once I’m on disability, I’ll have the house payment covered.

I know many of you are struggling as I am, but if any of you are able to help me in any way, it would mean the world to Gemma and me. Thank you for your time.
