Help John and Barbara Enjoy Their Home Again

I'm reaching out on behalf of my parents, Barbara and John, who are facing some challenges with their home due to the harsh weather conditions in Cape Breton. Barbara, 75, dedicated 32 years of her life to nursing in the community before retiring in 2018. John, 84, is a talented artist.

The weather in Cape Breton has been relentless, especially for our seniors. The damage caused by the weather includes their front porch, side deck, and shingles. Additionally, there are some large trees that need to be removed to prevent further damage.

John is battling Alzheimer's and has limited mobility, while Barbara spends all her time taking care of him. With these repairs, we hope to make their home more accessible and enjoyable for them. They deserve to spend their golden years in a safe and comfortable environment.

We have set a fundraising goal of $30,000 to cover the costs of these repairs. This will include repairing the front porch and side deck, replacing damaged shingles, and removing the large trees. It's important to note that they no longer have insurance due to reduced income, making these repairs even more challenging.
