Help The Padden Family After Pacific Palisades Fire

My close friends John and Lori Padden have lost everything. Like so many, they had to evacuate their home in the Palisades with basically the clothes on their backs.

They have had a GoFundMe established in their name for kind friends and those who may want to contribute to helping them get back on their feet and rebuild their lives. Your contributions and acknowledgement of them when the chips are down is deeply appreciated. Knowing they aren’t alone in this tremendous reversal has a power that is enduring and inestimable.

The Padden family have lived in and loved the Palisades for over thirty years. John and Lori raised their three children and a myriad of animals in the close embrace of the alphabet streets.

John and Lori never planned to live anywhere else. This was home.

When they left the Palisades on Tuesday due to a mandatory evacuation, they didn’t think their house would actually burn. But tragically, it was gone by the morning. So too were their family’s photo and video archive, their clothes, keepsakes, 30+ years of Christmas ornaments… everything. The heartbreak and loss is impossible to convey.

Thankfully, John and Lori are safe, as are there three cats, Otto, Walter, and Kershaw (Go Dodgers). Thank you for any consideration in helping them and reweaving a thread in the Palisades blanket.
