Help John and Rowena with Gaby's Memorial Costs

We want to thank everyone who has donated to help us with visitation, burial, and travel expenses. We had a visitation for Gaby's Florida and college friends at Broward Funeral Choices in Fort Lauderdale on Oct 15. Gaby had around 60 of her friends, fellow nursing students, and professors attend her visitation. They had such lovely things to say about her. We were overwhelmed by the show of support. Gaby's godmother, Courtney, flew to Florida with us and was a great help. Her Uncle John Antrobus also met us in Florida, and supported us throughout the week. The week would have been impossible without them. Gaby was cremated on Oct 16. We flew home last Friday with her ashes. Gaby's college, Nova Southeastern University, was a huge help to us and we thank them. Funds from this gofundme were used to pay for travel, visitation, and cremation expenses. We also thank Broward Funeral Choices for acting so fast and helping us get Gaby home. We would also like to thank the Taylor Rudd Saving Grace Foundation for all of their support.

Gaby will have a private visitation at Deiter's Funeral home soon. We will bury a portion of her ashes in Glendale Cemetary on Dec 1 in John's parent's plot. If you want to visit her, that's where she will be.

We will also have a public visitation starting at 10am, with a mass to follow at 11am in Evanston, IL at St. Athanasius Parish in Evanston, IL on Nov 30.

Lastly, we will be flying home to the Philippines in Nov to bury another portion of Gaby's ashes in Rowena's father's tomb, so her very extended Filipino family can visit and honor her on her special days.

We are sure many of you are wondering what happened to Gaby. All we can tell you is that her death is inconclusive. We may know more in a few months after we receive more details from the medical examiner. We will share what we can down the road. Just know that your donations have been critical in helping us give some closure to the many, many people who loved Gaby and we thank you more than words can say.
