Help John Boatman cover expenses for his cancer

Many of you have reached out and asked how to support the Boatman Family during this unbelievable challenging time.
First let me introduce myself to those who may not know me. I’m April Little, Veronica’s bestie. Not only are we best friends but we have been neighbors for 17 yrs. I’m reaching out to all of you that know John and Veronica in hopes that you can help them in this difficult time.
A year ago we were all laughing, going out and camping. This all changed when John not only lost his job and all insurance benefits April 1st but then was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma 3 weeks later. John began chemotherapy treatment instantly in hopes for a remission but after the PET scan they did not get the results they had hoped for. So John started salvage chemotherapy in hopes it would shrink it to 50% to have a stem cell transplant; again they did not get positive results. As of today John will be undergoing Car-T therapy in Indianapolis. They will be harvesting his cells starting the 18th; John will be admitted to the hospital at Simon Cancer Center on January 7th. He will have three days of chemotherapy before his T-cells are given back to him. John will be in the hospital for a minimum of 3 weeks with NO visitors allowed due to Covid. John and the family have a rough recovery ahead; after John is released he will be on seizure medicine for months and cannot drive. They must go to Indy 2-3 times a week for checkups for the first several months. John will have an infusion every month for the rest of his life.
So as you can see these last 8 months have been extremely stressful for the family but paying for cobra just to keep insurance without John working is definitely challenging with the rest of the medical bills. Now they will be dealing with more; more trips to Indianapolis and a whole new treatment that is VERY expensive!!!
Even if you cannot donate all the prayers are appreciated, we understand this is a difficult time for everyone.
We will keep you updated on John’s progress as we fight this battle together!!!!
