Help John Pilcher After Maui Fire....
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jerry Pilcher, I live in Maryland. My older brother John Pilcher lives in Lahaina, Maui. We found out last night that he survived the wildfire that killed well over 50 people. But, John has lost EVERYTHING. John only escaped to an evacuation center with the clothes on his back and his cell phone. The evacuation center had NO food, NO water, and NO beds. Later, they had to evacuate that center, and relocate to another. 100% of John's personal belongings were consumed by the fire.
Maui is a very small, VERY EXPENSIVE, tourist island, and John had retired there, renting a room from a local who hadn't raised his rent in over 15 years. He would do occasional handyman and yardwork jobs for his landlord. He had planned to live out his life there, living a simple life. Because so much of Lahaina burned to the ground, finding affordable housing is going to be a major problem for John.
In addition to replacing his personal belongings, and finding a permanent place to live, other everyday expenses, that many of us take for granted, will put an EXTREME FINANCIAL BURDEN on John.
John's over 70 years old, and if he were forced to move back to the mainland, it would devastate his soul. Our family is trying to rally to his support, but according to experts, the MAIN THING SURVIVORS OF A WILDFIRE like this need, IS CASH.
Please do what you can, no donation is too small, I mean NOTHING is too small, Every penny counts in an emergency like this. Please help my brother John rebuild his life, and prayers for all of those who were less fortunate, who lost their lives, in this tragedy.
