Help John recover from a Diffuse axonal Injury
Donation protected
My name is Georgina, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart to seek support from generous donors who might be willing to help my sisters and me raise funds for our incredible brother, John. At just 42 years old, John is a devoted father to two beautiful young children, and he has always been a source of strength for our family.
On March 15, 2025, everything changed when he was involved in a devastating motorbike accident. Despite the odds, he showed remarkable resilience, being intubated at the scene and airlifted to King's College Hospital in London. The first 48 hours were crucial, as pressure built in his skull, but John fought with every ounce of strength, displaying an unbreakable spirit. He suffered a grade 2/3 diffuse axonal injury, which is a devastating diagnosis.
After two long weeks in a coma, John has finally awakened but is not yet responsive. He is now breathing independently, albeit with the assistance of a tracheostomy, which gives us hope for his recovery.
However, John's path to recovery is hindered by the NHS's three-month waiting list for intensive rehabilitation in a neuro hospital. This delay could significantly impede his healing process.
With all my heart, I am asking for any contribution you can offer to help get John the care he desperately needs. He is a vital part of our lives; we cannot imagine life without him. Your kindness and generosity could make all the difference in his journey to recovery. Thank you for considering our plea.
