Help John Torchia Get Essential Therapy

I am writing this for my friend John Torchia. On October 5, 2024, John had a major stroke, which paralyzed his entire right side and severely affected his speech.

After being placed in a rehabilitation hospital followed by a Skilled Nursing Facility, medical insurance has deemed his lack of progress as the reason to deny further coverage at those facilities at this time. John is now residing in an Assisted Living facility with medical insurance covering medicine and limited therapies. Although costs are extreme, John had the foresight to plan for his and his wife’s future needs. Mary Lou still aspires to bring John home eventually which may require many more hours of therapy, more equipment and modifications for their home.
