Help John Ziegler Face Terminal Cancer

I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of John Michael (Bone) Ziegler and his family. I have known John for over 40 years and I am organizing this to help him and his family through a life-altering situation.

John has always been a very healthy, active, and hardworking person. Over the last couple of months, he started to experience some health concerns that lead him to multiple visits with different specialists. Within the last month, he was unfortunately diagnosed with terminal bone cancer that is originating in his spine. This diagnosis came out of the blue, with no previous history of cancer. On top of receiving a terminal diagnosis, John is also suffering from Bell's Palsy, headaches, vision problems and going through radiation therapy.

John is 58 years old, married to his wife Christine for 26 years and they have 5 children together as well as 2 dogs. 3 of John's children live at home and rely on their parents to support them. John is the kind of person who would help anyone in need no matter the circumstance, literally willing to give a stranger the shirt off of his back. John is employed by Port Authority and dedicates himself to working as many overtime shifts as possible to give his family the life he knows they deserve.

This GoFundMe is being created to help John pay for any medical costs that the future may hold, and most importantly to support his family in the uncertain future. A huge concern for John and his family going forward is that he will not be able to receive his pension from Port Authority because the requirement is 10 years of employment. John has only been employed with them for 8.5 years, and he is very concerned he will not be able to make it to the 10-year mark. Due to recent diagnoses and complications, John has been unable to work for the past month and is not receiving any compensation.
