Help Johnna and Mike Collard through the Journey

My sister and her husband are going through a life changing event and are spending every moment together. Because of this, she has taken a leave of absence without pay from work to assist him with everything he needs. She is the ultimate caregiver for the true love of her life until his last breath and after.

Below is an update from Johnna on January 3, 2021.
"Here’s an update on Mike's liver cancer we wanted to wait till after the holidays. Mike was in the hospital Dec 13th and released on Dec 22nd. All of the treatment he tried and completed didn’t work. So we have decided that for the rest of Mikes life, it would be best to go home and start the next phase of our life and go into Hospice Care . Mike is happier at home and more comfortable. Hospice has set us up with what ever he needs. His mind still wants to go on but his body is really tired and weak and not doing so well. We have decided also because I’m emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausted I will be taking a leave of absence from working right now, God will provide a way financially for us so that I will/can be with him till the end. So we are enjoying everyday and snuggling at night. We wake up everyday and are thankful to God for blessing us with another day. Mike said this morning that he was sorry, that he’s so much work for me and I said it’s not work, because I love you! He smiled and said I love you more! Melts my heart and breaks it at the same time. This evening I gave him his evening medicines and I put him in bed, hooked up his oxygen said good night. He just looked at me with tears in his eyes and said I love you Baby and you are truly an Angel! Then we talked about him being so tired and I think his dad and brother Wayne are waiting for him to go fishing again. I told him he can go fishing with them but when I get to Heaven I’ll show them how to Catch the big ones, Mike said, no doubt and laughed. Love you Mike to the Moon and Back ALWAYS AND FOREVER!!
