Help Johnny Law Replace His Stolen Car and Mobility Scooter!

Donation protected
Our dear friend, Johnny Law, an inspiring artist, mentor and cancer survivor, recently faced a devastating setback. Johnny’s car and mobile scooter…his only sources of transportation…were recently stolen. More heartbreaking, the stolen car contained some of Johnny’s irreplaceable artwork, art supplies and tools, along with many personal belongings.

John’s journey as a cancer survivor and amputee is a true testament to his resilience, determination, and passion for life. He is such an inspiration to so many others with his strength and perseverance. Despite losing his leg 13 years ago in his battle with cancer and the many challenges he faces, he continues to inspire all of us with his incredible spirit and love for life.
For the many who personally know JOHNNY LAW, you will certainly agree that he is definitely not your typical 70-year-old disabled amputee in a wheelchair. Since the full amputation of his right leg 13 years ago, he is a man who has dedicated his life to helping other people. He has donated his time volunteering in many local nonprofits, such as Make-A-Wish, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation, American Cancer Society, The Smith Center for The Performing Arts….as well as countless others.
He has also served as a Mentor working for several years with “Hope for Prisoners” working directly with newly released prisoners that have a desire for a better life. He has successfully changed the lives of countless men through his hard work, time and personal involvement.
He also worked for the Clark County School District as a volunteer Judge and Mentor for students in the local middle and high schools. Thru his service, John has been awarded for his amazing inspirational impact on young adults and has directly impacted the lives of many children giving them a brand new positive, ethical and motivating desire for a better future for themselves.
Through all this and because of his disability, John discovered 13 years ago that he was an ARTIST and with his passion for art, has volunteered for over 11 years as a well-respected and compassionate art instructor at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV), successfully teaching retired locals how to enhance their own lifestyles through ART.

John is very proud of being a 50-year resident of Las Vegas and has a truly deep passion for the city itself. John has worked hard his whole life. He has worked for over 40 years in the casino business as an outstanding dealer and has owned a few businesses including a very successful real estate business he began in 1990….. but this awarded “Parent of the Year” has always found time for his children! For almost 20 years, John had it all…health, wealth and the happiness of living a good life. Sadly, in 2008, just a couple of days before his 54th birthday, John was diagnosed with stage four leukemia and was given just months to live but as with every challenge in his life, John is obviously an amazing fighter. For the next 5 years, John would spend almost 400 days in a hospital bed fighting his cancer and by the grace of God, was saved by a miraculous last-minute bone marrow transplant.
Because of the toll that amount of chemotherapy takes on the body, John unfortunately also lost his full right leg in 2012….a trauma that haunts him both physically and mentally to this very day!
To add to his misfortunate cancer battle and beyond his control, the year 2008 was also the beginning of a national recession leading the Las Vegas housing market to severely crash. In the blink of an eye, John then went from a 5,000 square-foot house with a 7-car garage to riding the city bus in a wheelchair. But unlike what many other people would do in his situation, that misfortune only made John stronger and more compassionate as he saw firsthand how much help people really needed. Instead of asking for help, he made it his life‘s mission to help others to help themselves.

But JOHN is one of those guys who NEVER asks for anything from anyone. So, WE are asking for your help to get this man back in action and get him back to doing what he does best “helping others help themselves”. If there is anyone who desperately needs and deserves our help right now,
it is Mr. Johnny Law!

We are aiming to raise $20,000 to help John replace his stolen vehicle, motorized scooter, art supplies and other personal belongings. This amount will ensure that John is able to proudly continue to work, continue his passion for art and continue his truly inspiring philanthropic presence in his community.
Please know that the items stolen were not just “things he wants to replace”, they are more importantly VERY essential items he truly needs to be able to continue working, volunteering, teaching and inspiring us all. Through all of this, the Mandatory Components to make this possible are his car and wheelchair!!

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in helping John recoup what was stolen. Your support will not only aid in replacing his stolen items but also reaffirm the power of community and compassion for a sincerely great man.

Thank you in advance for your generosity!
