Help Johnny recover from gun violence!

Donation protected
Johnny Martinez, a 28 year old resident of the West Sacramento community was the innocent victim of senseless gun violence on Friday, September 8, 2023 as he was helping a relative move into his new home. After being shot three times, Johnny has suffered a devastating spinal cord injury. He is currently paralyzed from the waist down and has been given a 1% chance of ever walking again. We fully intend to make sure Johnny proves that 1% is all he needs!

Johnny is a generous, kind and loving young man with a bright future ahead of him. He is a hard working, Dallas Cowboy football loving, avid outdoorsman who is very close to his family and now his life has been turned upside down by this mindless act of violence for no reason other than mistaken identity.

Although Johnny is currently still in the ICU he is steadily improving everyday. However, he will need months of therapy and rehabilitation to learn how to live with his new reality. He will need the support of family and friends and the Martinez family will need to make huge modifications to their home and vehicle to accommodate a wheelchair.

We are asking you to find it in your heart to donate any amount in an effort to aid Johnny and his family in covering the costs of his medical care, medical equipment, rehabilitation, wheelchair and home and transportation modifications. This family has suffered a tremendous tragedy. Every little bit helps and we greatly appreciate your support, your thoughts, your prayers and well wishes.

Please donate today and help Johnny get the support he needs to recover and rebuild his life. We WILL get through this together!

How the funds will be used:
  • Medical bills
  • Rehabilitation costs
  • Motorized wheelchair
  • Home and vehicle modifications for wheelchair accessibility
  • Other expenses related to Johnny Martinez’s recovery

Thank you for your support!
