Help John's Fight Against T-PLL Leukemia!

Hello!
My name is Amanda Bowers and my father, John Slade Jr., is undergoing chemotherapy to fight against T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia (T-PLL), a rare and aggressive form of cancer. He was diagnosed in November, 2022, but his symptoms did not manifest until December 2023. Symptoms included fatigue and an extremly swollen abdomen due to fluid rention (ascites) to name a few. His white blood cell count is extremely high and we are hoping the chemotherapy will get that in check. However, with chemo comes another host of issues and a bone marrow transplant must follow that for him to have a chance at a full recovery.
My Mom, Kathy, is commuting with Dad from Gloucester to VCU hospital three days a week for his chemotherapy treatments (M,W,F). He occasionally needs to travel there additional days for other tests or treatments (ex. fluid drain), but those three days are consistent. My parents also have a very busy border collie, Patrick, at home who has been boarded at a local kennel (Dobe Run Kennel, Middlesex). They don't have the time or energy to care for him at this time.
Any contributions to help with food, gas, medical bills, and/or dog boarding is greatly appreciated and will help reduce some family stress.
Thank you for your love, advice, and support as we take on this new and challenging endeavor. My Dad is just the absolute best. He truly is the nicest, most caring guy imaginable. Please help me help my parents in any way you can.
