JoJo’s TPLO and Patella Repair Surgery

Hello there,
My sweet rescue dog JoJo is in need of medical care that is unfortunately far beyond my means. He's a silly lovebug!
JoJo's came to town two years ago when he was abandoned by his previous owner. This witty and charming dog found a community and home in Santa Barbara with me and all of the people who love him.
JoJo has since become an integral part of our lives and he’s a huge goofball. He loves nothing more than the company of people, chasing frisbees on the beach, snuggling on the couch, gnawing on sticks, going to coffee shops (he's a cosmopolitan man!), and, of course, cherished butt scratches.
At 8 years old, JoJo was in great health until he tore his cruciate ligament (doggy ACL) while chasing frisbees at the park this past July. It’s a common injury for older dogs, especially large ones like him. The constant pain has left him mostly hopping around on three legs and unable to jump or run or play or go on walks. I have been searching for alternatives to surgery, brought him to multiple vets in Santa Barbara, Tijuana and San Diego for diagnostics and to find the most cost-effective care, and tried to allow him to rest and heal at home for the past 3 months, but under the advice of all veterinarians who have seen him it is time for him to get surgery to repair his torn CCL ligament and luxating patella. The CCL ligament will not heal on its own.
In the pursuit of being prepaired for any potential health issues, I had invested in pet insurance, hoping it would be a safety net during times like these. Unfortunately, I have been met with disappointment as they refused to cover any of the costs for the necessary surgeries.
I feel genuinely uncomfortable asking for financial assistance. However, even at the amazing low-cost clinic I found in San Diego (Bernardo Heights Veterinary), the expenses for JoJo's TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) and Luxating Patella Repair surgery are far beyond my means. It's difficult and humbling to ask for help.
I understand that times are tough for everyone and any amount you can spare would make an incredible difference!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
