Help Jordan in his Battle to Beat Cancer
Donation protected
Jordan Wong is my little brother. For the past few years, he has been battling cancer. This is his story.
At the beginning of 2020, at 28 years old, Jordan was diagnosed with testicular cancer. He had surgery and we all hoped that this procedure would be the end of it. Unfortunately his tumor markers were high and there was also a tumor in his lymph nodes. With bravery and a positive mindset, Jordan pursued natural remedies for the next few months and did everything he could think of to heal on his own: maintaining a healthy diet, intermittent fasting, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and much more. Despite his great efforts, he began to experience back pains that were becoming increasingly unbearable. By the end of June 2020, the pain was so excruciating that he went back to see the doctors. They discovered that the tumor was much larger now and this prompted him to begin chemotherapy right away. He persevered through the treatments, and after six intense and agonizing rounds of chemo, and yet another surgery, Jordan was finally in remission around the end of 2020. It was a hard-fought epic battle.
Jordan remained in remission for an entire year until the beginning of 2022. Then one day, inexplicably, he completely lost his voice. Week after week went by with him barely able to speak. Upon visiting his doctors, they discovered that the cancer had returned and was now on his voice box and lungs. He received fifteen radiation treatments and although the radiation helped get his voice back, it didn’t rid his body of the cancer completely. The doctors then recommended more chemotherapy so he underwent another four rounds of chemo. Again we hoped and prayed that this was it...Jordan could finally move on with his life and remain cancer free.
Sadly, two months after enduring this arduous battle, bloodwork and scans revealed multiple spots on his lungs. This is when we learned that the type of cancer that he has is an extremely rare and aggressive form called choriocarcinoma. Unfortunately there are no treatments in Hawaii that are effective against this type of cancer. Upon his doctor’s urging, Jordan will have to travel to Stanford Hospital to begin a treatment protocol that will involve high doses of chemotherapy and stem cell transplants for the next 3-6+ months. He has to leave Hawaii ASAP to start this next phase of vital treatment.
We humbly ask for monetary donations to help cover the tremendous expenses (travel, cost of living, hospital bills, etc.) that will be incurred- especially since Jordan will be unable to work during this time. Any amount will be greatly appreciated.
We also understand that times are financially challenging at the moment. If you cannot donate to this fundraiser, please help us spread the word. Tell as many people as you can. Let’s rally for Jordan! Prayers are also greatly appreciated. Pray for Jordan to be healed, fortified, and forever rid of this unwelcome invader that has held his body and life hostage. Pray for his physical and spiritual strength to overcome all the trials he will face in the coming months. Thank you for your support, kindness, and for spreading the word to help raise funds for Jordan.
