Help Jorge & his family

I always see the comment "no amount is too small" on fundraisers and I think "true, but come on. They really need more than just like a dollar." Now that I am setting up this, my first fundraiser, I understand why they say that. Literally one dollar can make a difference for what I'm trying to do with this money.
Jorge is a young man who is trying to do the best he can with what he has...but the problem is that he doesn't have much and he is struggling to keep up with day-to-day needs.
Jorge is 20 years old. He lives with his mother and three younger siblings. He is the primary breadwinner for this family, and he earns his living as a dish washer at a local restaurant. His mother cleans houses for some extra money but there is a two-year-old in the household to take care of as well.
The family was recently evicted from their apartment due to their inability to keep up with the rent, and with the help of an uncle they were able to pay a deposit to move into a different apartment. There is no money available for any type of emergency that comes up. (Some examples of this are broken eyeglasses that cannot be replaced, the inability to pay to go to the doctor when needed, etc.) What is simply a minor inconvenience to so many of us is absolutely devastating to a family like this.
I would like to help Jorge. My plan is to use any money raised through this fundraiser to buy some gift cards for groceries/diapers/basic household needs to try to ease some of Jorge's burden. Depending on how much I can raise, I may also be able to give him some Visa gift cards to help with other expenses that they are dealing with.
I am asking for your help. Any amount really will be appreciated and it will add up. I also plan to "walk the walk" and I will match the first $100 I make through this fundraiser.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
