Help Jorge get to his father

We don’t like to ask for help but currently have no other choice. I work full time but my husband is on Workman’s comp. He got a call today that no adult child wants to hear. His father was having issues breathing which lead to a heart attack and he is now in a Coma. The issue is my father in law is in Terceira, Azores. While we were planning on getting passports this year and hopefully visiting this summer this new news changed that. My husband is now trying to get an expedited Passport which I found he can get provided we get a flight. We are just getting by as it is with his fixed income. My husband doesn’t know how much longer his father has and he would like to say his goodbyes before he loses that chance. We are praying he pulls thru but as a person who lost a child with the expectation of more time with them i know the future is never promised He has not seen his father in 10 years as well. Flights range from 1500 – 2200. Passport is around $255 with the extra fees. Plus we have to hire someone to translate the paperwork from Portuguese to English never mind cost of getting to his father once he is there, somewhere to stay etc. Any little bit will help.
