Help Jorge on his road to recovery

Dear everyone:

My name is Mark Douglas, I am raising funds to assist a very dear friend, Jorge Moran Gonzales with his medical expenses which he has and will continue to incur.

Jorge is diagnosed with a rare condition called Transverse Myelitis which affects his spinal cord. He is paralyzed from the waist down and partially paralyzed from waist up. He has severe deficits including difficulty breathing, swallowing, speaking and loss of mobility in all of his extremities. He is currently hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit at Bellevue hospital located in Manhattan, NY.

I’m raising funds for Jorge to cover his medical bills and the extensive physical therapy he will need once he is discharged to a rehabilitation center. Jorge will also require home assistance such as a visiting nurse as he lives alone in an apartment and will be unable to care for himself.

Jorge needs us the most right now! No matter how small the donation—it helps. Please help Jorge concentrate on his extensive recovery and not on the financial burden he is accumulating.

I’m greatly touched and appreciate all the overwhelming love and support Jorge has been receiving from his family and friends. Please provide your support and help Jorge on the long road to recovery.
