Help Jose battle cancer!!!
My name is Amalia,
This past May my nephew who lives in Concord, CA, was diagnosed with cancer.
Jose has what is called embryonic non-seminoma testicular cancer, it is the most aggressive testicular cancer there is. Testicular cancer can have different types of make up for cancer, unfortunately Jose has the most aggressive and it has metastasized which means it has spread to his abdomen and his lymph nodes in his abdomen. He also has one to two nodules in his right lung
Since his diagnosis his life has radically changed. He was a vibrant, healthy, hard working young man. He has now undergone surgery and extreme treatments of chemotherapy. As many americans, the medical insurance one receives from their respective State programs do not cover all costs.
• The doctors and medical personnel needed to provide optimum care are not always available.
• Not all medications are covered.
All this to say that we need help from anyone willing to help a family under duress.
Jose's father is the only one working in his household. His mother had to give up her part-time job to take him to therapy, Dr. appointments and care for him at home. The 8 hr chemotherapy treatments drain him of his energy and cause him pain in different ways.
This is an opportunity to help his family meet the needed resources and assistance for Jose.
Because he is in the early part of this long road of treatment, his family has managed to make ends meet at this time. What is needed is to ensure that Jose's father can meet the family's obligation, while tending to his son's continual care. Your monetary gift would not only help in Jose's treatment and care but would also alleviate the burden of his father in keeping a roof over their heads and food on the table.
His recovery is of the utmost importance. We pray that his battle will end in victory.
Like the "Good Samaritan" who offered a helping hand to the injured man on the roadside, we too can see Jose afforded the help he desperately needs to continue in this battle against a deadly disease.
