Help Jose Blea with recent Medical Needs
Donation protected
Hello, I am Deborah (Debi) Blea and my brother Jose Blea Jr. has been strong and hard-working his entire life. He contracted Covid 19 at a family Christmas party in 2021. He continued to test positive for Covid 19 for the first few months of 2022.
Instead of recovering from Covid 19, his symptoms got worse and his body began to show signs of "Long Covid" at the beginning of 2022 and he was not able to work any longer. His body has continued to deteriorate and he must now use a walker because his foot and leg have started to turn in at a 90-degree angle, and he needs a motorized wheelchair. His left wrist has also now bent at a 90-degree angle, and he has very limited strength in his wrist and hand and he gets frequent painful cramps. He is left-handed and the left side of his body is not functioning correctly. He has lost hearing in his left ear and now needs a hearing aid, the eye doctor recently indicated that his left eye was starting to turn in and anticipates it will cause him to be cross-eyed soon.
He is seeing numerous doctors including neurologists and attends physical and occupational therapy to aid in his daily functions. His girlfriend is struggling to pay for their monthly bills and his medical requirements while driving him to his appointments. All of these costs have begun to add up while they work to get social security disability awarded.
He has always been an unbelievably generous and self-sustaining person. He is not the type of person to go to the doctor or ask others for help; instead, he typically offers to help everybody else and never asks for anything in return.
He would never ask for himself, but he really needs help now. My family and I have been helping him as much as we can, but we know how many people he has helped and how many people would like to help him. If you can help him with even just a small donation, I know how much he will appreciate it.
I know that when his social security disability is approved, he will want to pay you back, and he hopes that is soon, but unfortunately, we don't know when the Social Security disability will be awarded.
Anything you can give will be appreciated and I want to thank you in advance for your help.
