Help Jose Monge fight his unknown disease

On December 2nd of 2017, Jose Monge collapsed late at night and was quickly admitted to the hospital for what looked like to be a case of meningitis. After several tests including a removal of spinal fluid, nothing was able to be found within his system and it was confirmed that it was in fact not meningitis. He started treatment at Peter Lougheed Hospital for about three months before he was transferred to Foothills Medical Centre by another doctor that had a second opinion on his case. He stayed at Foothills for another three months, this time doctors were doing more and more tests to find out what was going on within his system due to the rarity of his case. Doctors said there was nothing they could find but they had an idea that it had something to do with his nervous system. At this point Jose’s health was declining and he was not able to walk. Jose was becoming dependent on doctors and family to do simple tasks like using utensils and moving around. Doctors couldn’t find anything no matter what they did and they released Jose to go home (with occasional checkups) without a diagnosis yet again. in other words, doctors gave up on him. Jose stayed at home for a year with his family. Within that year, our mom was forced to leave work and take care of Jose due to his pain constantly growing and our lack of resources and money. Jose started to have frequent episodes and declines of strength which got him up to the point of saying his farewells to his 5 kids. During these episodes, Jose would experience extreme full body weakness in his muscles and joints. this eventually lead to partial blindness and even the inability to speak and pronounce words properly. At this point we thought it was a good idea for him to go back to the hospital due to the scary amount of decline in his health. After about another three months at the Foothills Medical Centre, doctors decided it would be best to send Jose to a long-term facility due to their lack of findings on the situation and the rapid continuous decrease of mental and physical strength in Jose. Due to all of these circumstances, we are at the point where we can’t afford any of his medical expenses due to our family having no source of income. Our mother is also struggling to find work due to her spontaneous schedule and constant worry for her children at home.
Jose Monge has never hesitated to help a fellow friend or family member in need even at his lowest points in his life. for something as tragic as this to happen to someone so kind hurts us all deeply. he has never been the selfish type and has always prioritized others over himself. Jose has spent his whole life looking to spread the word of God to whoever he can and has tried to continue this goal despite everything he is going through. Only God knows what mental and physical pain Jose is going through and all we can do is pray that tomorrow is a better day.
Please help Jose and his family so that we are able to overcome this unknown disease and we are able to get him back to normal. We still have faith and believe that miracles are bound to happen. We have tried everything we can for Jose in the position that we are currently in, but we are not able to do much more considering our financial weaknesses. We are aiming for $10,000 so that we are able to find treatments with different doctors so that we are able to get to the bottom of this. Any donations are greatly appreciated.
Thank you for all the support. God bless you all.
