Help Jose Duran Recover After Senseless Attack

Hi, my name is Danielle Garcia. One of my best friends for the last 14 years was senselessly attacked and thrown onto the train tracks Tuesday evening (November 29th, 2022) around 9:00pm while awaiting his train home after work at the Division/Milwaukee Blue Line stop. Thankfully the person responsible for this attack is currently in custody. Jose is a phenomenal son, brother, and friend to many. He is also a very talented chef and employee at a well loved Michelin star restaurant that he is extremely dedicated to. Jose is the last person to ask anyone for help, he has always been an extremely generous person. Anyone that knows him can attest to that. So you can imagine how hard it is to ask the public for help. Any amount is welcome. Any kind words, prayers, thoughts are also encouraged. Please help one of my dearest friends as he navigates through multiple facial surgeries, medical bills, being out of work etc.

A message from Jose:

On Tuesday November the 29th at around 21:00 I was pushed into the train tracks on the division and Milwaukee train station. I was going home from work after just being back from the holidays, this caused me to spend the rest of that night into the next day in the hospital. I have currently undergone one operation and will be going through two more on Friday the 2nd of December. With the possibility of a few more follow up procedures. This unprecedented turn of events will most likely cause some financial strain on me and am hoping to raise some funds to ease these difficult times. I would not be one to normally do this, however, I believe in the good nature of humanity and hope people can find it in their hearts to help. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
