Help José Through His Recovery

Our Dad has always been our rock, he is the strongest, smartest, most kind hearted man we have ever known. He is a husband , a father of 4, and a grandfather of 3. December 1st he walked into the ER feeling the worst he ever has. 10 minutes after his EKG upon his arrival, they were rushing him to the OR because he was having a massive heart attack and they wanted to intervene with a stent. We found out that he had a STEMI, and his arteries are 100% blocked, so while in surgery they learned the stent could not be done and we would have wait to find out if he’s a candidate for a bypass. He’s been battling pulmonary edema, caused by his heart function. As of Sunday Dec 4th, he was diagnosed with a lung infection and is being treated with steroids and antibiotics. Sunday is his last day of antibiotics and the cardiac surgeon will be able to determine when he can have the bypass surgery, based on his health with new scans and blood work. Our dad, family, & his doctors are working day and night to save his life. We have yet to know how long he will be in the hospital, it all depends on his recovery process following surgery ..He has worked over 25 years doing landscape, maintenance and construction as his own business, which will make it difficult starting over. The cardiologist told him he can no longer work because of his heart, it’ll put his life at risk. My mom was working through IHSS taking care of our great grandma, who sadly passed away November 2nd. Our mom has been able to stay by our dad's side through this tragic time. Due to these unfortunate events, my parents have lost their only source of income..we are hoping through the generosity of you reading this, that you please spare another moment to share this page even if you can’t donate. We are trying to help our parents pay their mortgage and their bills during our dad’s recovery. My siblings and I are doing everything we can while we find a way back to their financial stability..but we have reached a point of accepting that we really need help..
Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Currently my dad is responding well to his quintuple bypass and repaired valve..he's come back home just in time for Christmas, to our family there is no greater gift!! With everyone's generous help, my dad will be able to focus on his recovery without the worry of losing what he has worked so hard to build. We are all filled with the utmost gratitude!
